The AXA Achievement Scholarship

The Holy Cross Scholar Award/Guaranteed Trustees Scholar AWard
Full tuition for four years, a 1250 score on SAT, or a 28 on ACT for Holy Cross Scholar Award competition.

Guaranteed award of $40,000 if ranked in top 20% of class and score 1200 on SAT or 27 on ACT.

Texas Student Housing Authority Scholarship
For 2010 high school graduates, $10,000 Academic scholarships. This schalorship is open to students accepted to colleges in Austin, College Station, Denton, or San Marcus, Texas that have NOT signed off-campus housing leases with TSH facilities managed by Asset Camous Housing.
McKelvey Foundation Scholarship
The Mckelvey Foundation Scholarship in the amount of $40,000 is available to students who: graduate high school in the spring 2010, attend a 4 year college within the 50 states, own and operate a genuine business, non-profits are eligible, have at least one paid employee, and must complete the application.Visit www.mckelveyfoundation.org for more info.
Wendy's High SchooL Heisman Scholarship
Eligibility for application is limited exclusively to men and women entering their senior year of high school in the 2009-2010 academic year who have at least a "B" grade average and participate in at least one school-sponsored sport. Foundation for Individual Rights in Education Essay Contest
FIRE is a competition open to all high school seniors enrolled in an American high school, the essay must be between 700-1200 words about why free speech and First Amendment rights are crucial to higher education and how abuses of these rights harm the college experience. KFC Colonels Scholars
The scholarship is for graduating high school seniors, students with GPA's higher than 2.75, enrolling in a public college or university, pursuing a bachelor's degree and a U.S. citzen or permanent resident. To learn more and apply visit www.kfcscholars.org.

Texas Engineering Foundation
In 2010, the Texas Society of Professional Engineers and te Texas Engineering Foundation will award approximately $100,000 in scholarships to engineering students attending a ABET-accredited university. Any student that may be considering pursuing engineering is eligible to fill out the application. The scholarship form is available in the counselors office, and can be downloaded at www.tspe.org.
Rodeo Austin
In 2008, the Star of Texas Fair and Rodeo awarded over $1.4 million to the youth of Texas. To continue their mission of Promoting Youth Education~Preserving Western Heritage, the Star of Texas Fair and Rodeo will proudly host its 5th Annual Youth Western Art Show. All art show entries must be recieved electronically through the official STFR online entry program.Entries must be filled out online at www.rodeoaustin.com. Artwork does not have to be submitted by this date. See the counselor for the official rules and regulations.
Slough Foundation

National FFA Foundation
Von Dohlen Ford Motor Co. provides this scholarship to ant FFA member that fill out the application, and sends their signature page to the dealership. See Mr. Abrameit for more information.
Texas Trial Lawyers Association
The TTLA is now accepting applications for the 2010 Scholarship Program. Students must: complete the 2010 TTLA application, submit a transcript and report card, submit two letters of recommedation on letterhead, an essay title, "Why the jury is the cornerstone of the civil justice system.", a list of work, school activities, a personal statement, and the applicant must sign and date the certification section of the application. 2010 Ozarka Natural Spring Water Scholarship

Texas Telephone Association
Five four-year scholarships in the amount of $1,500 will be awarded to qualified students that apply. See www.tta.org for application.
South Texas Farm and Ranch Show
The South Texas Farm & Ranch Show will be offering one $1,750 scholarship in memory of Mark Scherer, one $1,500 scholarship in memory of Melvin Scherer, three $1,250 scholarships and two $1,000 scholarship to worthy students. See the counselor for applications for all types of these scholarships.
Texas A&M Kingsville Biology Scholarship
Applicants need to submit an official high school transcript, submit a list of extracurricular activities and community services, list of any special awards, be enrolled as a Biology major, two letters of recomendation, and a completed scholarship application. Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority
Visit www.gbra.org for additional application forms, or visit your counselor for the application. Applications must be received by March 12, 2009.
University of Houston at VIctoria Scholarship
Graduating seniors with a 2.5 gpa or higher, will enroll at least 6 hours at UHV, have a record of community and/or school activity involvement, and have one letter of recommnedation from a teacher, are eligible for a $1,000 scholarship. The application is available in the counselor's office.
Mid-Coast Higher Education Consortium
